Come 2-3pm, I get very tired, sluggish and have trouble focusing at work. Not tired enough to nap but tired enough that it does affect my concentration and ability to care about the minor details. I came up with this Keto energy drink that is easy to make, delicious and isn't coffee (because I can't have coffee in the afternoon). This little pick me up has helped me through many an afternoon of mundane tasks.
Ingredients:
1 heaping tsp of Matcha Powder*
Sweetener to taste (I use 2 packets of Stevia)(optional)
2 teaspoon half & half or heavy cream
1/2-1 cup hot water to taste
*This is a culinary grade sugarless Matcha Powder, so be careful because it is strong, it is also grainy and very bitter.
Prepping: Mix Matcha, Sweetener (optional) and 1/2 cup hot water. Mix till smooth, matcha clumps easily, so you want to make sure you mix well. Using mixer/spoon taste, add more hot water if desired. Add half & half or heavy cream. Stir.
Can be served hot or over ice, even blended.
This mix gives you a great burst of energy without the jitters.
